We found the trailhead. It's between house 2255 and 886. We climbed to top of Mesa and it's a pretty view

I love this trail I jogged up so I don't know if it is good for mountain biking, although it's very difficult to not slip when going back down the trail

The trail is at the end of the Green Springs Terraces in Washington. It's on BLM land and the developers of the area have placed a parking area near the trail access point so it's got convenient access. The same access trail leads to the Mustang Pass trail and splits for the two trails. The Ice House trail runs up the side of a mesa (Broken Mesa)with about 600ft of elevation gain. Pretty good workout for hikers but I can't see a biker riding up the side of the mesa. Nice views from the top

Great trail on foot or bike. It's getting tougher to reach the trailhead with all the new construction in the area, but it's still worth the effort.

A good place to bike, hike, or trail run to avoid the crowds but the trail is pretty littered with baseball-sized lava rocks. Can either start by parking on Rosso Dr (north Green Springs area), getting on the bike trail and then and using the step-over gate that enters the Red Cliffs desert reserve. From here you'd need to walk your bike up onto Icehouse Mesa using the carved out trail which is pretty gnarly. Once on top of the mesa, the trail is rideable but definitely a climb. The other option is to park at Mesa Rim Trailhead and then hike/run/bike down Ice House Mesa. From point to point its about 7 miles. Great views coming back down!!
