I went today and it was delicious. The two Jamaican patties I consumed were delicious. I did get the green sauce but unfortunately one of them had little specs of mold on it. Overall, my experience was great.

Very pretty looking pastries, but mostly empty and WAY overpriced. It was about 8pm. I got a pear almond pastry. There was almost no filling. Tasted kind of like almond extract but it was mostly dried up pastry dough. For 3 tip, I was not impressed at all. I threw most of it away because I’m already fat and I don’t need to waste my daily calories on plain dough. Sorry, Julia. Maybe it was just an off day or something but I’ve had better empanadas at Taco Bell, for 1.

Absolutely the best Chilean Empanadas other than from Santiago Chile. As a kid I travelled to Chile to visit family and always craved the empanadas. This place does it right. Perfect dough and the meat/onion filling along with egg and olive is perfect. The other empanadas they offer are good but I’m all about the Chilean ones. This place is killer and hope it can stay alive through the pandemic. I travel to DC for work on occasion and the last time (about a month ago) had lunch to go and a took a half dozen home to freeze. Just reheated my last one and already making plans to go back. Even pre COVID it’s a buy and go type of place. Enjoy and stay safe!

I've had Julia's Empanadas in the past and they were great! but today I asked the person at the desk if the Chicken empanada's had peas - he told me no. Bite into the empanada and it has peas - i'm allergic, luckily nothing major but I explicitly asked before purchasing and then wasn't able to eat them. I ordered 4 different types of empanada's and my family and I all agreed that they had no significant flavor profile. I might try again but never buying more than one especially when I can't be told proper ingredients.

Wow! Amazing empanadas! Tried 4 different flavors, and all were excellent: Saltena, Chilean, Turkey and Chorizo. The Saltena had green bell peppers which was not listed in the ingredients but did not overwhelm the flavor, which was excellent. The Chilean is the favorite empanada here, was recommended by the staff, and it did not disappoint. Not very spicy, but very flavorful, with a zest that will leave you wanting more. Cash only spot, but worth the trip to the ATM.
