Food was good but nothing special. I probably would not return. The lamb kebab was nothing in comparison to other restaurants' kebabs in area. The meat was too chewy and lacked any special flavor. However the ambience was nice and the appetizers and bread were pretty good. But this place doesn't have authentic kebabs like others...

Very friendly staff. Very attentive manager. Took advantage of a groupon and they were very helpful. Wife said wine was very good and their bread is excellent. We will be eating there again.
The service was excellent. The food was fresh and very well presented. Fairly priced. The Tartafruta dessert was amazing!
Great food, good service (great on refills, a little slow with the check), good value. The menu didn't have some common Mediterranean dishes, like Souvlaki, but everything they did have looked and tasted great. Decor is pleasant but not distinctive, other than the KGB interrogation light that turned on above our table for 5 minutes for some reason.
Bland and boring... the food and the atmosphere. You'll leave smelling like grease. The bathrooms were a mess, disgusting.
Just had lunch and Levante's and was very disappointed! The experience was horrible! I, and my business guest, ordered the "sword fish chunks on a skewer over a bed of arugula." The sword fish came without the arugula (which is the main reason we ordered it). In place of the arugula was a side of soggy, sautéed onions and peppers that were cold as well. When we pointed this out to our waiter, he went to check with the chef. When he returned he brought a small bowl with a few leafs of raw spinach, lettuce, and bits of diced tomatoes. Again - WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I will never eat there again, now will my colleague.
Used to periodically eat at the Bethesda site that closed and, although not the greatest Turkish restaurant in DC, was consistent with solid food and better than average service. Went to 19th St. today for second trip. While the first was below average in food and service, this trip was terrible. The waiter was inattentive, slow, and seemed like he wanted to be somewhere else. He forgot the silverware, got the appetizer, bread and entre out of synch. We needed a fireworks display to get his attention. When we approached another waiter to help, he disappeared, too and we waited too long for our waiter to get the message. The food was awful - undercooked kofte, hot ayran, and cold vegetables. And this after being told the ovens were down, so couldn't order lahmacun or pides, which is why we went in the first place. Like I said, last time we will go there.
Wonderful Turkish food! If you can't get to Turkey- go here!
