Have experienced many peoples' 21st birthdays here. Get the Bloody Mary if you like spicy, it's delicious. Frank is the man and makes the best drinks and Ali has a great personality and really bonds well with the costumers! A

I love coming here. Definitely a chilled back and relaxed place. Great vibes, music selection is always point. Also, surprisingly good cocktails. I especially love the Red Don. One of my absolute faves! The mussels here are superb and deforest try the poboys. Also a great little selection of craft beers and draft cocktails on tap. Good for a relaxed night out on the strip.
Great creole food, interesting cocktails and lots of patio seating. Five kinds of delicious mussels and a fun atmosphere. What more could you ask for in the heart of Adams Morgan?
I loved the cocktails! They are very creative in creating smooth, refreshing, and sometimes spicy drinks using Gin or Absinthe. If you're going, go for the drinks because you will be disappointed by the food. The Gumbo tasted like canned soup, the mushroom pasta was bland, but the frites were good.
This is the place if you're looking for authentic absinthe in what feels like a very sophisticated French bar. Love it.
I stopped in to try Libertine with a friend and found patio/sidewalk seating with a nice separating barrier from the sidewalk so the seating felt like part of the restaurant, a long bar area with a row of seating across from it and an upstairs area with 8 tables. We were greeted outside and decided to sit in the upstairs area that overlooks the bar. We started with the crab cakes and bisque appetizers and both were delicious. The crab cakes had little binder/breading and as much crab as I could have hoped for. Our entrees were very good, I had ordered the vegan pasta with mushrooms and my friend ordered the shrimp and andouille over grits. Neither of us could think how either dish could be better and we both enjoyed our meals. The drinks we ordered weren't quite as good as they could have been. We both initially ordered the Refuge, a cocktail on tap, and it had too much bitters to be completely enjoyable. I could taste that it would be a really nice drink if it had slightly less bitters. The next round I switched to a draft beer, a weissbrau, and my friend had the sangria. My beer was great, as expected, and my friend commented that the sangria wasn't quite sweet enough from fruit juices. The service was great, everyone was attentive and friendly but not too much. In total, things seem to be going well in the kitchen but the bar may need a slight tweak. That said, I would be happy to go back for a meal or try another drink.
I've come here lots of times for the lemon sauce mussels and the steak and frites. After you eat the mussels, the lemon sauce is good enough to drink with a straw and the steak will melt in your mouth like butter!!!!!
This place has a great laid back vibe even on a Friday night. Try the London at midnight when you go or just drink water -- it's 'infused' with cucumber.
