We were rushed out.I was in the hospital in ICU for three days and the regular unit for two days with multiple pulmonary embolisms and multiple DVTs. It was recommended that we return to Dr. Heuser who had seen me previously and taken me off anticoagulants to follow up with testing as to why I had clotted so extensively and what could be done from there. He seemed to not only not remember me when it had only been a couple of months since I had last been seen, but seemed very disinterested. He told me to go back to my regular Dr. to follow up and that was it. My pain concerns (I was diagnosed with pleurisy and pulmonary infarction) were also referred back to my regular Dr. who I wasn't due to see again for a week. My husband took the day off work for this appt and we drove for an hour to attend it. We felt very underappreciated and basically blown off. Do not recommend. And a;; our doctors stressed concern about why I had clotted and this was not addressed at all.
