Idk what these other people are smoking, but as a Korean this place is a damn embarrassment. The staff was friendly but that's where it ends. Food was way below subpar. Bulgogi wasn't marinated fully, the pork was bland, and the chicken was bland/overcooked. Only pros I can give is to the staff, the fresh veggies, and the homemade wraps. You guys need to step up your game, I can make better tacos at home with meat from H-Mart. Very dissaponted with the food. Better to drive to VA for legit korean tacos.
My boyfriend and I ordered from here over the weekend. The food arrived earlier than expected (score!) and the portions were big enough for both of us to save for lunch tomorrow. I had a tofu dish that was both spicy and unique. It's definitely a must try if you haven't tasted yet!
Pretty good. Decent amount of seating indoors. One four top outside when we were there, but there's another area where they may put more. Do not drive, as there is no easy parking. Metro is nearby, and the metro bus stops on the same block.
Excellent Korean tacos. The dikon is FRESH and not 'canned'. The spice level is medium. Service was prompt and friendly. Portion size is good, especially when looking at prices. I have not had a bowl yet (cause the tacos are great) but the LOOK fresh and inviting. The restaurant was very clean, and when one of the kids had cabinets open I was stunned at how clean they were. Great job guys, keep it up!
I highly recommend their pork tacos. After having been away from DC for the entire summer, the one thing I really missed eating out of all the food in DC was the pork tacos at Takorean. The people behind the counter are always really friendly too.
Friendly and helpful staff. Needs more food options to build a proper meal. There just aren't enough items to put into a bowl. Great concept, though and as I said before, the staff is super.
Yet another attempt at reinventing the taco, this time fusing with Korean. The tacos were tasty enough. The problem is, it doesn't satisfy a craving for tacos or Korean. So I'm not sure I'll feel compelled to come back. But it's worth giving a try if you like trying new things.
