Originally a good hall in Northern Virginia, The Block is now in downtown D.C. just south of Thomas Circle. It's a medium-sized Asian food hall in the bottom of an office building next to a Starbucks. When you walk inside, it feels like any other restaurant. However, as you walk by a purple neon sign that read "This is our happy place," you'll know you're in a different spot. As of March 11, 2020, only Rose Ave Bakery (order their black sesame doughnut) and a poki place were open for business. However, you'll notice a future bar in the front of the house, seating, on the ground level, and a few other areas for Asian restaurants and cafes. There's a second level with tons of seating and outlets. On this level, the wallpaper is anime and the like.
