His nurse and office staff were wonderful but Dr. Ammerman was either having a bad day or is just ordinarily rude. Maybe he's a good doctor and I'm sure he's a smart guy but none of that matters if you dont know how to communicate with people. Save yourself the time and go see Dr. Michael Goldsmith instead.

Agree with negative star review below me. My experience did not go well. I went to Dr. Ammerman off of a recommendation. I was there for a second opinion on the need for surgery. I explained all I had been through, gave him my imaging, and explained my symptoms. It seems to be more of a problem within the medical industry about how conditions are diagnosed, but there seemed to be little to no critical thinking that went in to his opinion on my condition. All of my symptoms seemed to be ignored and he only went off of the imaging. He told me he would never perform surgery on someone with my imaging. I've since had the surgery. The recovery is slow, but I'm much improved so far. I was in severe pain when I saw him and he told me it was most likely coming from muscles not working correctly in the back of my neck. I knew this was obviously not the cause as I had already done tons of physical therapy and received massages with no benefit at all form these. I went and got the trigger point injections and \steroid\ shots from a doctor he recommended (which was very expensive and not convenient). That doctor he recommended also did not seem very interested in thinking critically about my condition. I get that my condition is complicated and not easy to diagnose, but this is their profession and I personally gained more insight from google searches than from my visit. After being told his option, it felt as if he wanted me to move along and leave. I'm sure he is a great surgeon, but I had a bad experience with his consultation.

Would give him negative stars if I could. Very arrogant.
