Very warm community, care for each other and the needs of others outside of the church. Wonderful choir and jazz band with professional quality vocalists and musician. Diversity of congregants is a strength.

Beautiful old style church, just off of Connecticut Avenue. The pastor is passionate and the \Rockin\ Band & Choir keeps your heart beating, your feet tapping and your hands clapping. The congregation is warm, friendly and welcoming. They have a \more than coffee\ event after service, which basically is a potluck luncheon held down in their parish hall. They only have one service at 11am but they do provide everything you need for a Sunday morning church service. They are a United Methodist affiliate and their motto is that everyone is welcome. Stop by if your in the area and enjoy. They do serve communion at the end and as with any UM church they have an open table and deny no one to partake in the sharing of bread & wine. Go with an open heart and enjoy their fellowship. Just ask for Pastor Mary Ellen or stsff members Rita or Dee Dee, all will help you with any needs you may have. They are a blessing to the community. Enjoy

May I, Kenneth R. Dawkins extend my very grateful thanks to the Wesley United Methodist Church family for their sincere and caring open arms at this important time as my Mom(Mrs.Dorothy F. Williams) went home to be with Our Father, Our Brother Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Please at this time may I send special attention to Sister Mary-Kate whom Mom spoke very highly. Once meeting Sister I understand. The church itself is a warm,beautiful family environment filled with friendliness and God's Love. Thank you all for all and everything. Mrs. Dorothy Frances Quarles-Dawkins-Williams would be more than very satisfied as I her 1st born can speak for her as no one can!!! Sincere beyond... Mr. Kenneth Rudolph Dawkins...forever grateful!!!
