I come to the transfer station all the time & Jill who works in the scale house is always very nice and friendly and was able to resolve the only issue I ever had here which was caused by a different guy who charged me the wrong price when nobody else at WM could take care of it. To the guy who is complaining about paying 70 to get rid of a couch, I’m sorry but that isn’t their fault that you did not understand how the pricing works. There is a set price for up to 1000 lbs of waste for Newport residents (just under 70) or I think you have to pay for a full Ton (2k lbs) if you are not a resident. If you just have one couch to get rid of, you would be better off paying for a 30 bulky waste sticker and they will pick it up from your house. Or, wait until you have more junk to get rid of. Or if you are a resident, you get 2 free dumps of up to 500 lbs each every year. If you do not have close to, or over 1000 lbs of junk, or unless you are a resident using a free yearly dump , it is not worth coming here.

was at the transfer station today 8/23/2018 The women that was at the entrance was extremely helpful and pleasant upon arrival. Gave complete instructions. Got to wear a hard hat and vest and watch very large tractor of some sort do its thing. when leaving the associate explained the whole system and pricing if needed to use again this term. Very pleasant. Had a great experience. Angela
