This school has been very bad except for some good teachers. When I was in 4th grade I was a 2nd grade reading level and the teacher passed me. Now my mom has to pay 100 dollars a hour for me to get reading lessons. There is also so many teachers who have favorite kids. There are some good teachers and they know who they are. Before you let your kids go to harvest look at the percent of people who have gone to college. Leaving this school is the best thing I have ever done.

I wish I could give a better review. My husband and I really wanted this to be the school our kids start and finish at but we were very disappointed in everything about HCA. As a teacher myself, I have very high expectations for any school, especially a private school. Both my kids attended HCA from Kinder to 2nd and 3rd. We pulled them both out when we noticed that they were not grade level for reading and were missing some key math concepts. Not one teacher had expressed any concern or offered any intervention at any point in their 3 years at HCA. Many times, I pointed out my areas of concern to teachers /elementary school principal and my concerns were never addressed. I do believe that HCA caters to their teachers and staff and are not operating out of the best interest of their students. Honestly could have gotten a better education at any good public school. Also, I noticed an attitude of indifference from teachers and administrators when it came to correcting student behaviors, bullying, etc. There is definitely something missing in their Christian education - they miss the mark when it comes to the heart of being a Christian. Overall, (perhaps from a lack of professional training and teacher continuing education) it feels like HCA is lagging behind when it comes to best practices in academics and advances in education.

My kids love going to Harvest! They speak highly of their teachers and the staff, and they enjoy their school day.

We have had our children at Harvest for the last 7 years at the elementary, middle school, and high school level. Being part of the Harvest community has been a great experience. Harvest provides a variety of opportunities for students to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Harvest excels in academics, sports, and the arts. Our two older children, both graduates of HCA, state that they have felt very well prepared for their university courses and for life after high school. All of our children have had excellent experiences participating in sports, clubs, and extra-curricular activities.. Harvest's single greatest strength is the commitment to discipleship. We been abundantly blessed by teachers, coaches, and administrators who have a deep commitment to God and speak into the lives of our children, teaching them to bring glory and honor to God in all they do.

I graduated from this school over a year ago and it took me a little while to get used to it’s faculty, student body and pretty much everything that revolves around it. I’d be lying if I said that this school wasn’t a bit tough on my class and pretty much all of the students (myself included). but in the long run I realized that it enabled me to build character and diligence which are essential traits in today’s world. So I’m really grateful that I got to share my high school years here with my friends and faculty who I really thank for making my high school experience one of a kind.
