On February 11, 2021 and March 10, 2021 my wife and I received our two Covid-19 vaccinations at Wheeler Clinic’s facility on Lakewood Road in Waterbury. On both dates everything was handled perfectly and the staff could not have been nicer. They were efficient, informative, friendly and very professional. 1 star review due to their Covid-19 testing policies. My son is having major open heart surgery in Boston next week. This Friday we have to be there for pre-surgery testing but can't go unless we have a Covid-19 test done today. We received a list of all facilities in the Waterbury area, from our insurance provider, that offered either walk in or drive up testing. We cross referenced this with google and found that The Wheeler Clinic on Lakewood rd was one of the locations. I called this morning and was told that we weren't allowed to get tested unless we were primary care patients. I mentioned that this location was on a list of approved sites and was told that that wasn't correct and that we would have to drive to their main location in Hartford. The best part was that the obviously clueless receptionist stated that it would take a WEEK to get the results back. I said thank you for your time and quickly hung up. I hope that this type of banality only applies to Covid-19 testing and not any of the other "services" this company offers. In summation: DON'T GO HERE FOR COVID-19 TESTING! Either go to one of the hospital drive up locations or go to where we went, which was incredible, Duggan School! Be safe everyone.
