It's always very, very noisy here, and I'm always around this building. The people in and out of here are very mixed
I have my own bathroom and mini kitchen as well as a nice kitchen and living room to share with others. The building is clean and well managed.
They will deduct illegal 'cleaning fee' after move out. They keep doing this because the students are either not aware of the Tenant Act, or too busy to spend time suing them for a few hundred dollars. What a shame.
Worst place I've ever rented from, DO NOT rent from here! The landlord is a scammer, constantly breaking the rules, and trying to get money from tenants illegally. During my time here, the landlord entered the unit without proper notice over 10 times over a 4-month period. If you have a guest stay over for a night, he will knock on your door and enter your unit without notice, he will then immediately start yelling and demand that you pay an extra 150 a month for the other person. Additonally, the 200 key deposit was not returned in full because he charged an illegal cleaning fee of common areas of the unit (which the landlord is responsible for anyways). Myself and the other tenants kept the unit and common area in good condition, and the cleaners that he brought in simply just had to mop the floors. When I confronted him about this being illegal to not return the key deposit and charge a cleaning fee, he simply responds with, "file a report to the landlord-tenant board, I don't care" and will once again resort to yelling and consistently talking over anyone who tries to confront him on his evil ways. The building is also a mess, cleaning and painting supplies are consistently left in hallways...the machine to load money on the laundry card stopped working and was not fixed for 2 weeks...there are hundreds of fruit flies in the kitchen and rooms, even if you keep things very clean and throw out your garbage...I have stayed at many student housing locations throughout Kitchener and Waterloo, and while I obviously know the challenges that come from these living spaces, none before have been so awful that I wanted to write a review about my experience
I kind of miss the food there. The restaurant in the building is convenient and serve hot dishes even late into the night, cheap too. I just moved out but to be honest, comparing the three places I've stayed, they are just similar... I am recommending 58 to my friends haha, which I thought not possible when I lived there!
What an absolute dump. I wonder if this would pass a city inspection. Typical of university slum areas
I was living there 2 years and it's really affordable price for students. Ensuite bathroom and mini-fridge in each bedroom are quite useful. The service there is more efficient than other apt I have live. I would definitely recommend this place to students.
