Worst experience of my life. BEWARE. Steer clear of this midwifery and all the women here. No one takes care of your concerns, your body, or your baby. Don't risk your child or your health to these butchers.

I had an excellent experience with the midwives both prenatal, during my daughter's birth and postnatel. I would recommend them to anyone I know who is expecting.

Very happy with my time at Blue Heron. Chose it for the Connecting Pregnancy class to meet moms in the same boat as me. Now months later we all still set up baby play dates/outing and are support for each other. Appreciative of my team Ann, Nikki and Shirley. Answered all my questions (never felt like I had a stupid one). Despite being a transfer of care to OB I never lost their support during birth and after. I would definitely want them on my team if another child comes along. Thank you!

Blue Heron Midwives provides the most exceptional care anyone could ask for. I am so happy I decided to go with them for my first pregnancy and will continue to use them when I have more children. While you are pregnant they have a prenatal group you can join. Here you learn about a variety of topics regarding your pregnancy. In the group there are also other women who are due to have their baby the same month as you so you can share your experiences with one another. During your pregnancy and when you go into labour the midwives are very easy to reach and attend to your needs quickly. After you have your baby you can join their new baby time group where again you learn about topics concerning your new baby and get to socialize with other new moms. The midwives are so amazing and make you feel confident and safe throughout your entire experience.

I am SO GRATEFUL I choose to go the midwife route for my second pregnancy - and am also grateful that the fates led me to Blue Heron. If you're considering Blue Heron - please know you'll be in highly competent and extremely kind and thoughtful hands. I am in awe of the level of care my family and I received - both during the pregnancy and afterwards. During the pregnancy, I was amazed by the conversations and information shared during those discussions - so much more insight and feedback than I had ever received from my OB-led care during my first pregnancy. When we had a medical test that came back with somewhat questionable feedback, we were immediately referred to McMaster for detailed follow-up (thankfully, our little gent was deemed healthy). Any questions I had - were immediately answered. Any test results which came back - were discussed in detail; even those that were healthy and wouldn't normally be shared in another medical setting as a result. After our son was born, the three home visits were SO amazing. So great to not have to leave the comfort of my own home while recovering; so wonderful to have people I could PAGE at ANY TIME OF DAY with urgent questions we had. Also loved the group care afterwards; it's a fun format that allows you to meet other new moms in the hood. I would recommend Blue Heron with all the gratitude in my heart for their terrific skill and care. Cheers!
