My friend and I rented U-Haul trucks at this location recently. We were both charged an "after hours service fee" despite not doing anything to deserve that fee. Ted hemmed and hawed, could not justify the charge, and tried to make it difficult to have it refunded. Seems this is a common practice of his to "make" a few extra bucks. Buyer beware!

Was very happy with the service. Had a rattling noise from my tire and turned out to be, the shop i was going to didnt mention my nut was completely rusted out when they did my brakes 2 weeks ago. The owner was very honest and upfront about everything and let me watch as he checked out my car. We need more honest mechanics like this guy.
They have been servicing all my vehicles for decades. Honest and trustworthy. Good rates.
Went there to get two minor repairs (license bulb light changed/one wheel fender fastened). 1) The office wreaked with the smell of marijuana. 2) Prices were not stated up front, and of course, that meant overcharging me later. 3) When I asked for price to be corrected and to get a receipt, the staff was not happy about it (that is expected standard!). 4) Finally when I mentioned I was trying to sell my car, staff's response, was, "Oh not good car, not good price" etc (its not your place to decide that sir).
Went in for a transmission issue, I got a shock everytime I go from reverse to drive and vice versa. The instrumental cluster stopped to display which gear I am in and it used to display P/R/N/D or 1/2/3/4/5 while I am driving. They got me a new O2 sensor............did not fix the transmission sensor (as I later found out to be faulty at another shop).
Called and spoke to Ted regarding U-haul rental. Ted was very courteous and explained everything for me over the phone. The pick up and drop off was easy. Thank you for welcoming me to the city. My move was pain free thanks to Ted.
After checking the UHaul website, we called this location directly to confirm some details - very glad we did. Ted was very helpful!! Turns out his location did not have the van we needed, but he found an alternate location for us nearby and he even made the reservation over the phone, then emailed the confirmation. Everything worked out great with our actual rental. I would recommend calling to confirm that what is showing in the website is actually available - and book in advance since Waterloo is a popular place for rentals.
I am extremely pleased with the service I received today. I had my car looked at for an exhaust issue and everything was thoroughly and thoughtfully explained to me. I truly appreciate the time and effort spent. I will definitely be returning!
