A friend of mine highly recommended this place but it was pretty late in the night when I got to the shop. So, could just order 2 dosas for 7. In any case, I loved the dosa and the chutney. When it was about time to dig into the sambhar, guess what I found: an INSECT! It took me a good minute to confirm that it was a green insect disguised as a vegetable, only to be eaten by an unsuspecting gobbler. Give it a minute to ponder on the hygiene at this place! Trivia time at the end of the meal: Q: what's worse than having an insect in your food? A: a half insect Well, that indeed was the case! PS: I really loved their sans-insect Mango lassi though!

This place is an absolute gem. There are only two prices: 5.99 for any combo (breakfast or lunch/dinner) or 1 for any snack/dessert/drink. The wife and husband that owns KW Student's Delight also owns the convenience store next door. When you order coffee or tea, you get a Keurig pod to take next door and brew your drink. They're both incredibly sweet and friendly. I ordered the breakfast combo two Idly and one Vada. I also added a baklava because I have an uncontrollable sweet tooth. The entire order came to 7.90 (5.99 1) * 1.13 The amount of food was pretty decent, it didn't look like a lot but it did fill me up. The combo also came with lentil soup, hot sauce and coconut sauce. If you don't know what Idly and Vada are (because I didn't) I'll save you the Google Search. Idly is a cake made from steaming fermented lentils and rice. It almost has the consistency of bread, very absorbent and not all too flavourful by itself. Vada is a fried doughnut made from legumes or tomatoes. This one was spicy but pretty good.
Great place for a quick and cheap fix for your middle eastern/Indian cuisine cravings. They have a wide selection of combos including options like shawarma, vegetarian curry, chicken biryani, butter chicken, and even pizza. The prices are ridiculously low for what it is, and you can expect quality flavor as well. I got a large butter chicken pizza for 5.99 (plus tax) on my last visit. It was nothing special, as it was more like a cheese pizza with the occasional piece of butter chicken (they put minimal amounts of the topping of choice as seen in the photo). It had a really thick and somewhat dry crust as well. So if you are planning to get the pizzas, don't expect much and make sure you get a dip or a drink to counteract the dryness. Though I can't fully blame this place for their sub-par pizza because it was very cost friendly for my student budget, and they are probably not known for their pizzas. Service was great, and staff were friendly. Would recommend, and definitely come back for their shawarma plates and wraps.
Very inexpensive which is great. The food was also pretty good. The only issue is it seemed like the food had been sitting in the heating trays for quite some time. Not the freshest options. I had a vegetable curry which was mild but still good. Good place for a vegetarian as there were several options.
The food is very cheap, and they give great portion sizes. I ordered the butter chicken, it was one of the better butter chickens in this area. Much better than any other Indian food restaurant in the Waterloo university area.
They make EVERYTHING at the start of the day and leave it to SIT around all day FOR OVER 12 HOURS!! They never make food fresh to order, they cater to students so they think that's okay but frankly its disgusting. Not worth the money saved to get food poisoning, you're better off pickup up something frozen from Waterloo Central Supermarket, this place is screaming for a health inspection!
I enjoy getting the shwarma bowl which includes a large portion of rice, salad, and chicken. When they made a mistake in my order (added hot sauce) they made me a new one and gave me a free drink for making me wait the extra time (5 mins). Definitely a great cheap option that is in a good location.
Their prices are a service to humanity, especially considering that they are in a student residential area! Food is also decent, but this is now my go to place for cheap yet tasty Indian food
