We have used NetSweeper for over a decade and have seen the advancements in their filtering capabilities improve over the years. Many of the comments bash this filtering system... As an IT Manager, I can attest that the more complaints about it blocking particular content is a testament to the effectiveness of the program... it's doing its job! These complaints should be taken up with the administrators of the organizations or schools that have deployed it into their environment. It is a matter of the settings of that organization that block the content... not the fault of NetSweep as a company. I recommend this to anyone who is in need a solution that works... and is effective at doing its intended purpose!

We have used NetSweeper for almost 10 years at our Library and are very happy with this network solution. I feel it’s easy to install and use. If I do have an issue, which is rare, technical support are immediately responding and resolving my issue. Netsweeper does a great job of filtering sites which makes my job easy maintaining compliance with CIPA requirements. If it’s discovered that a safe site is being block, it takes only seconds to add that site to our white list. Netsweeper also allows the staff assisting patrons to instantly bypass a block on a safe site by merely using a login name and password. I have read the negative comments on this review site and what those posting the comments fail to understand is that’s what the software is supposed to do, block potentially unsafe sites from the network. As mentioned earlier, it takes only seconds to remove or bypass a blocked site if humanly determined to be safe.

Terrible experience with this company. Seemed to have limited knowledge of what they say they are capable of doing. Management seems to have questionable methods and morals as well. Do not recommend.
