PDJ Shaw installed all our flooring and wall tile for our recent basement renovations. The basement looks great. The wall tile/backsplash design was intricate work and very labor intensive but the work was done well and looks fantastic. We found Paul and team to be very friendly and helpful. We are thrilled with the results. We will be using them in the future for other projects we have in mind.

This was our second time dealing with PDJ Shaw. We used them for engineered hardwood on our entire main floor a few years ago. And last month we used them for carpet on our stairs and upstairs hallway/bedroom. Sales staff were knowledgeable and install crew were professional and very safe with Covid rules. We would use them again if we ever have a need. Thank you Paul and team!

Purchased Shaw engineered hardwood flooring from PDJ Shaw, Waterloo this past September for my family room. Arrived to the date as per stated by Paul. The staff at the store are all friendly and knowledgeable on their products. Per my experience, I would recommend this business.

I was looking for a specific brand of flooring for two rooms, and discovered that PDJ Flooring carried it. Paul showed me the different options without any pressure to upgrade to a more expensive product, and brought samples to my home. It was great to see them in place so I was confident I made the right choice. We decided to install one floor ourselves, and hire their installers for the larger room. Paul gave us tips on the installation, and when I called back six months later to arrange for the professional installation, Paul quickly found our quote which was still valid. I've had other places put a month long limit on a quote and then charge more on the second quote for the same work. Paul honoured the original quote, and also let me know there were new products to be sure I saw all my options before buying. We stayed with the original plan and was very happy with the installation. Their installer was happy to make a small adjustment to transition at the last minute, and did it perfectly in five minutes, no problems or complaints. It's nice to work with a company that stocks quality product and provides excellent, no pressure service because they know they can stand by their work. It wasn't just stress free, but we love our new floors! The price was comparable to the quote we got from a big box store for a lessor quality product.

I wish I could say that my experience with PDJ Shaw was as good as others, but it really wasn't. In truth, the installation of vinyl plank flooring in the bathroom went well, but their carpet installer damaged the walls and trim of our newly finished basement in about 30 places, well beyond a few bumps a scrapes that are typical of an install process. Our final walkthrough took place while we had food cooking on the stove and the installer was pushing to leave so we really only had a chance to focus on the carpet installation itself. Prior to carpet install, I had gone over every inch of the walls and trim to do paint touch-ups so I know the damage did not exist before installation. The next day, when we found the damage, I contacted the company about it. No effort was made to come and properly inspect the damage in person. Pictures were eventually requested, but by then the general contractor handling the renovation project had done us the courtesy of patching the damage. Finally, we were informed that the installer said it wasn't him and because of that, it wasn't the company's problem. I was also told that the installer was responsible for covering damages which is why a walk-through is performed. Of course, ours was rushed through and the installer's liability makes for no incentive to own up to mistakes or carelessness should they be discovered. The company did a half-hearted investigation and made it clear that resolution was not a priority. Unfortunately, it is an all-too-common situation with this sort of work. When I was still in the trades, this type of customer service from other companies accounted for the majority of the business we received. In this case, I can guarantee you that some other company will receive my future business because of this experience.
