Great store. A lot of products that you won't find in other stores around town. They even have a stable to park your horse and buggy at. It's a bit out of the way but worth the mission to st jacobs

I was pleasantly surprised with good variety of products inside. Also at several spots there are clearance shelves with 1 items and the like. But nevertheless I couldn't find what I was looking there - small to medium size bench vise neither torx screwdrivers set. And prices for some products I just took a glance were a bit higher than for example in the Home Depot (for which I think already has high prices for most of the products). Stuff was kind and neutral and they were sorting products around the store but still some of them found time to wish me having a good rest of the day while I was leaving the store.

Usually not a big fan of TSC St Jacobs as most times it has a older associates working and won't give u the time of day. Today it was all young people and they were awesome. Give credit where credits due

I'm really spooked now honestly. With all the people panic buying chickens due to COVID-19 I think staff should be re-educated related to chicken care. I have chickens and tried buying GRIT at this store and the cashier, nor any other employee she asked knew what grit was or the importance of it. They recommended I get calcium oyster shells. This is not the same as grit (literal granite stones). Oyster shells are water soluble, stone grit is NOT. This is the only way a chicken can properly digest their food in their crop. My friend went today to get supplies and was told the same thing and had to argue/correct staff. They still tried to convince her the shells and grit were the same and appropriate. Please provide proper training for your staff if chickens is one of the major livestock you sell products toward. This makes me very concerned for new chicken owners who are blindly buying!
