As an employee I’d like to say that the prices just like any raw materials fluctuate in the market, we try and avoid purchasing low grade timbers as our trade customers and the public prefer it, we strive to ensure that everyone who comes to us leaves with the materials to finish their project. But we are a small business supplying a large area, custom cutting is something our colleagues in the industry are moving away from, placing orders ahead of time either by phone or email is preferred and we will normally call you to confirm a price before it’s cut and let you know once it’s ready. We would only ever tell someone to go elsewhere if they had a bad attitude towards us and we reserve the right not to serve someone if this is the case. We will work with individuals to help make their ideas a reality and recommend materials suitable for the job. I always love to see people’s finished projects and I’m more than happy to tweak purchased materials after. Wood has been sold at Waterloo for over 100 years and we hope to continue for a long time to come.
