Horrible experience. Student does all the work, doctor comes and checks. Prescription is made. I ordered my glasses and 240 later they do not work. I go back and they realized they made a mistake. They did not measure the distance from my eyes to the screen. Not even we are sorry!! I asked for some kind of compensation or discount to have my glasses done again since my insurance money is all gone. Nothing!!! These people are the worst. They did acknowledge the mistake but they would not care less about the financial implications it had for me. The worst doctor and office ever. Stay away. You could be next

I have had four consultations at this clinic now and every single one has been fantastic and extremely thorough. After my first consultation I was placed under the special care of Dr. Olivia Ricci in the Ocular Health Clinic who is a resident and is absolutely lovely. Dr. Ricci was nothing but professional in every capacity and made me feel as though she really cared to improve my dry eye condition and my overall eye health. I have been to other clinics in the past, however, this was the first time I had ever been dilated for a checkup so the doctors could look deeper (literally and metaphorically) into my condition. Other doctors (who have likely been out of school for some time and fallen into a poor checkup routine), have never given me specific information about why my eyes were dry or offered options to improve it and prevent it further down the road - other than your usual cheap eye drops that are filled with preservatives. During my appointments I was also able to see images of where the dryness was most prevalent and the doctors were great at explaining why various aspects contributed to blurry vision, irritation, etc. Just a great experience overall and I will continue to consult with this clinic in the future and highly recommend to others if they appreciate good service and thorough eye examinations.

Excellent quality of care. Good with kids. We've been going there last six years. We love the place.

This clinic's focus is for training the UW students only. The students ran through all possible exams for at least one hour and gave all kinds of diagnosis for my kid. Then the doctor takes less than 5 minutes to check. We have seen at least 20 different doctors because the doctors always move out of the university when opportunities are present. None of them (except for one) cares about the kid's progression. For example, we see the doctor every two weeks and found that my kid's myopia increases .25 every two weeks. The doctors said it is OK: almost not changed from the last checkup. But the last checkup was only two weeks ago!

I had my eye exam here. I called them to book an appointment. It was quick and they reminded me again of my appointment 2 days before and told me what to bring. I didn't need to wait and the instructions were clear. The exam was very thorough, which lasted around an hour. They explained everything to me and were patient when I didn't understand something. There's a contact lenses clinic on the second floor and other services. It was a good experience going there. The price was 90 if you dont have your insurance.

The checkup was very thorough I thought and lasted about 2 hours compared to my last optometrist visit that lasted about 15 minutes and was a disaster. They had all the latest equipment and asked quite a few questions about my medical history. They were friendly yet to the point which I appreciated the only problem I encountered was ordering my glasses they took 10 days to come in turned out they didn't have the AR coating I paid for and had to go back They told me another 2 weeks which is almost up and I,m still waiting I even had to pay for parking and left with No glasses hence the 4 stars

The best optometry clinic in Waterloo. You get a thorough exam by a senior student followed by a consultation with a faculty member. My previous optometrist spent maybe 5 or 10 minutes on an examination. At UW expect a checkup to take an hour.

Very through examination, and was relatively inexpensive compared to other places. A polite and friendly optometry student performed the exam, and a doctor supervised. Usually my exams take around 15 minutes, but this time mine took 45 minutes, because of the additional tests they performed.
