The resort is VERY old however so don't have high expectations. Overall I wouldn't visit again because of the following: BATHROOM If you're using the bathroom, it feels like others are in there with you because you can hear them so clearly outside your room. There isn't a vent in the bathroom, but there is a heater...for some reason. Also their soap dispenser as a tube you squeeze and it was not easy to use and made my hands sore. BEDROOM Room was decent, but I noticed that the fridge was unplugged upon first entry. I plugged it, but it took me hours to realize it wasn't working because the dial in the inside was ALSO turned off. Then at night, I felt this hard thing in the mattress poking me. I lifted up the mattress protector to find a screw part (see picture). FRONT DESK The people at front desk were always professional, but every time I went in, there was always a guest complaining about something. At first I thought it was just another Karen, but it was enough times where I think they need to revamp the whole resort.

Stayed in a lakeside view room with a balcony. Great location. Loved the balcony - read in mornings and evenings and did yoga. I was concerned that the room would be dated and pre- or mid-reno because of other reviews, but it was newly renovated. Apparently the reno supplies were delayed because of COVID. Fair situation, I understand people's disappointment though. I did not have a problem with hearing neighbours either. The rooms got no cleaning except garbage removal and towel replacement by request because of COVID. IMO they aren't wrong to reduce traffic, but could have compromised on once every 2 or 3 days as a week long stay meant our rooms were quite disheveled over time and it was annoying to request hand and face towels, coffee cups, and garbage changes every two or three days. Price? Well, you are paying more than you ought to for a hotel of that quality anywhere else, but you're in a national park and on the lake in the best possible location. That's worth something compared to staying in a nicer hotel for the same cost in a different town and driving all the way into the park daily. You're paying for the convenience and location and TBH you get a better value in Waterton than you do in other national mountain parks.

To get the conclusion out of the way, my wife and I would both definitely stay here again. The inn is set up like a rustic motel. It shows its age but the rooms are clean and everything worked as expected. The staff were awesome, friendly and responsive. The only issue I had was parking on the second day. We went for a hike in the morning and came back to a full parking lot. We drove around for 30 minutes checking the lot and the marina lot looking for a space to no avail. I was not happy and went into the lobby and asked where to park. The fellow behind the desk went and checked vehicles for parking passes and found a few that should not have been parked in the inn's lot. He asked a couple of the people to move their vehicle and the issue was resolved for the day. The cost is on the higher end but the location is perfect and we have to keep in mind it is a seasonal community within a national park. That makes the cost worth it. I would definitely recommend this inn to others.

Great location, but the state of maintenance seems a little lax: loose fixtures, bathroom ceilings deterioration, gouges in the room's drywall. But a wonderful location. All amenities nearby, including the Lake

Party of 12 came for dinner. The cocktails and the food were both outstanding. It came in a timely manner even though the restaurant was full. Jada, our server was fantastic. I will be returning before the season is out! If you love salmon, try theirs. YUM!

Great location (if you don't get the parking lot view) and friendly staff. Although I understand the rooms are getting renovated, the quality of the rooms weren't great. Our room was very dark, load AC, the toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall, the paint job in the washroom wasn't professional (you can see the brown paint of the room walls all over the white bathroom door frame - similar to how I painted my room when I was a teenager - no patience to use painters tape and do it properly), the hardware on the mirror shows, shower infill not flush with the wall, etc.. It's tough because Waterton is only open for a short season so a business can only do so much but things like the paint job wouldn't cost a lot to use tape to not get the paint on the frame, or properly install the mirror/toilet paper holder. I would stay again if the price properly aligned with the rooms once they're renovated.

Great location and nice rooms but maintenance team is not up to par (may be house keeping did not informed about the issues) bathroom fan is loud, felt as if I was in a propeller plane and the light at the entrance was not working (flashing free night club feeling).. Please check AC, lights and fan in the room before you unload stuff.. Other than that really cute place and come again but will make sure everything is okay before I unload.
