Great atmosphere with good pub food. Recommend the burger and fries! Waitress was really nice and food came out pretty quickly. Great food for the value

I stayed at the Best Western in Waterville for 7 days and ate here three times and each time I had a great meal and wonderful service. The interior of this place is really neat if you like old wood. Most of the wood was reclaimed from old sailing ship, which you could see by the mortise and tenon joints that were visible throughout the restaurant. The pub/bar area is rich dark wood and is not that lit, but that is fine with me. Not a bad beer selection and they did have one IPA that was not bad. Food was great. I had their philly flatbed that was really tasty one night, then I tried their beef and Guinness that was rich and flavorful. The last night I was there was their wing night and they do make some great wings. The wing night in Thursday and it was a bit crowded that night, but the rest of the nights it had people in there, but not packed like it is on wing night. Also they provided the breakfast in the morning where you can chose from a couple of options (like coffee and juice along with two eggs, choice of meats and toast), but if you did not like those you could order off the full breakfast menu and use your coupon for 7 off the cost of the breakfast. I would recommend O'Brien's if you are ever traveling through Central Maine.

The lady that works in the evening is incredibly nice! She had about 5 dine in tables plus people at the bar and managed by herself to take care of everyone's needs while remaining friendly. Sadly I did not get her name but did leave her a very nice tip for her kindness. I do not recommend coming in the morning! Very rude young lady working. Little to no customer service skills and a very poor attitude.

Not bad..we go for \wing night\ been 2 weeks in a row.. wings come out of the kitchen suspiciously fast ... and just a bit over cooked .. I saw 6 orders of 20 wings come out of the kitchen after 1 minute of the server going to the table next to us and taking the order.. so obviously they are pre cooking a ton of wings ahead and holding them... the first time we went the chicken was definitely on the cold and over cook side but for 10 buck I was like ok ill give em another chance...

This place was a pleasant surprise. I didn't think a hotel would have such quality food. The waitress was wonderful. She paid attention to are needs and never left our drinks empty. The food was great. Actually eat in Waterville a lot and have to say that I won't be going to Governor's again after finding this place today. Last time I went to Governor's my salad was brown and they brought me out another and it was just as bad. So, Governor's has lost my business and I'll be going to O'BRIEN'S from now on. The room is wonderfully decorated too. They have up barn wood and looks so rustic and charming.
