As a former tenant of Keystone Management, I would strongly recommend you seek housing with another company. After being a model tenant for 2.5 years, this company refused to give back my deposit and billed me additional charges. Keystone Management has zero issues with misrepresenting the facts and will make every attempt to lie in order to retain any deposit you have made. Without divulging into every aspect of falsehoods claimed, I will state that this company's lack of honesty and in many aspects, the root of my unresolved issue as well as others (urge you to read other reviews). Their paralegal based out of NH lacks decency, civility, and is the epitome of unprofessionalism. She in fact is detrimental to conflict resolution. In Keystone Management often alleges falsehoods such as \the apartment had an odor\ as an excuse to con a former tenants out of hundreds of dollars with no justifiable evidence (this is well documented in company reviews as well as BBB in several of their locations). The company makes accusations which aren't provable in an effort to retain outgoing tenant's deposit and to gain further by additional charges. Unchallenged, Keystone Management can literally use this excuse / accusation on every outgoing tenant and for the most part, get away with it to the tune of hundreds of dollars, simply due to the hassle it takes to get a returned deposit. Sad. In reality, the money is a very minor aspect. I highly anticipate that taking this company to small claims court is certainly not worth the hassle for 300 or any amount of money...However, without a fair resolution on the part of Keystone Management combined with their outright disregard for facts and misleading claims, I certainly will be exploring all options including small claims court, the Maine State Attorney General, along with several other avenues.

Maintenance man named Bob refused to turn my power back on for over 6 hours from 4:45pm until 11pm while it was -10 degrees outside and snowing because he was mad that we blew our power out and he had to come out. He not only ruined all of our food, including the food we purchased for our Christmas dinner, but verbally assaulted us by cussing, raising his voice, and threatening us.

Keystone management company is absolutely the WORST company to rent from. Save yourself the stress and rent through a private renter. Since I have moved in, I have had TWO bats enter my apartment, I have had a water leak from the upstairs tenant, and there have apparently been parking issues when there are more than enough parking spaces available. Maintenance came one time for a bat and one time for the leak but the leak is still unresolved and they claim to want to charge ME for it, when there was already apparent water damage to the floor BEFORE I moved in. Another thing they like to do in addition to blaming tenants for damage in a 120 year old house that is just bound to happen, is to TURN OFF WATER without ANY NOTICE! Over the summer (2017) they turned the water off the the building without informing any tenants. I had to work that day and was unable to shower or brush my teeth.... so I had to use SEVERAL bottles of poland springs water to wash my hair and brush my teeth. That just isn't right. I even called and asked why they turned it off and how long it would be. The woman who answered was extremely rude. AND they began painting the house and NEVER FINISHED THE JOB! so now the house has white specks of paint all over and it looks like a dump. It is not pleasing to the eye and looks like trash. Just don't rent through keystone, you will likely regret it.
