What a treasure! They are undergoing repairs but this is just as beautiful as the temples in SE Asia!

A cultural treasure in Columbus. The place is beautiful and definitely sticks out in this Bexley neighborhood. The place is in desperate need of some maintenance and repair with all the delicate carvings and structure. I looked for a donation box but could find one. I hope the caregivers consider adding one on the property, so the community can contribute to this special place.

It is my first time have a chance to visit Watlao Buddhist Temple in Columbus, Ohio. I am one of the Burmese Buddhist came to Ohio Progressive Buddhist Temple for Kahtina Ceremony today 10/07/2017. After that ceremony, we move to Watlao temple for another ceremony. To my amaze as soon as I saw the Temple compound, I not only surprise but very delightful to see such a place which is highly decorated with modern art and unique beautiful building in that compound. As an Asian I am proud to see such an amazing place for our Asian Community. I will spread the word to every body to go to Watlao Buddhist Temple on Columbus,Ohio. Kyaw Myint,Franklin,Ohio.

A hidden beauty in the most unsuspecting neighborhood. This is one of my favorite places. The calm that comes over you when set foot on the grounds is awe inspiring. The ground keepers are kind and anytime I have questions they always do their best to provide answers. I especially enjoy watching the street lights sparkle the entire temple in the darkness of night. This place is a joy to behold.
