I absolutely love this small family run business. They are honest and dedicated to their customers. Even though they were short staffed during my car repairs, the owner himself took time out of his busy schedule to shuttle me back and forth. I've barely put work into my car over the years aside from regular oil changes, so of course 12 years later, there are some repairs coming up due. Willard Garage is wonderful at showing and explaining the repairs and providing an itemized list by priority. I've worked with them the last two years and had many services and repairs completed. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Thank you to everyone at Willard Garage!

I’m new to the area and my car was running awful. I called about six different repair shops for pricing on a diagnostic. Everywhere was around the same price. So I based my decision to try Willard’s on pricing, reviews and the fact they were the only ones who could get me in that day. Peggy was super awesome, friendly and helpful. She even remembered who I was when I called back to make an appointment. We dropped my car off that day. Within a few hours I got a call with why my car wasn’t idling correctly and a few other major things that needed to be done. Even though I had never been there, nor known anyone who has, I had them go ahead and fix the first major problem. I got a call that it was running great and took the chance and has them do the rest. IT WAS A GREAT CHOICE! They had my car a few days and did a few different things. They understood that I had a budget so they told me what was most important to least important, informed me as to what potentially happen if something went wrong, they had prices for every scenario of what we fixed and the mechanic (Nate, I believe) told me the truth and even what he would do if it was his car. I got my car back, it runs amazing now, the inside of my car was clean and the work all seems very well done. They even kept a broken part so they could show me what and why it needed replaced. The shop inside and out is clean, the staff is friendly and personable, the work was fast and guaranteed for two years and the grand total ended up being less than they estimated. I will be taking my car in there in the future for my car needs along with my mom who went through the whole process with me. I highly recommend them!

The staff at Willard Garage make you feel like you are walking into your dads mechanic shop back home! They are a wonderful group of people to work with. Over the three years we lived in the area, we used Willard’s a number of times for our three vehicles. They are the most honest shop we found in the Des Moines area! They took their time to call and explain the issues, ways to fix it, and cost of parts and labor. We needed extensive work done on one vehicle... they assessed it, printed out and prioritized work that needed to be done and let us know what things needed to be fixed for safety reasons and the others that could wait. Highly recommend!

The team took care of my catalytic problem. Offered me choices and even offered a loaner vehicle to me since it was so close to the new year and may have not had my vehicle ready. They did fix it ahead of schedule, even overnighting the part to get it fixed. I got my vehicle back and it feels good to have it running smoothly again. Appreciate the extra effort. Professional.
