I am a teacher as well as a parent at Leap. I started working here over two years ago and completely fell in love with the environment from a work stand point. We are a family. We are able to lean on one another when things get rough. I welcomed my beautiful baby boy in April of 2020. It was scary to give birth and be a first time mom in a world pandemic. I was scared to return to work, and with my three month old this time. Words can’t begin to describe the amazing precautions we take here at Leap to keep our kids, staff, and families safe each and every day. I now come to work knowing my child, as well as myself, is in the best place we could be. Leap gave us a home. Leap gave us a safe haven. Leap gave us comfort. That is all you can ask for. So if you want more than a childcare facility, Leap Academy is the place to be. Here we are more than a daycare, we are a family, a second home, and a safe place to land.

I work at Leap Academy, and also have my daughter in the Little Roo’s room. I absolutely love it here, both as an employee and as a parent. They are organized, kind, honest, and really care about the staff and the families. My daughter is always happy when I pick her up, and seems to love playing with the other babies and the teachers. She also LOVES the nutritious food they serve. As for covid precautions, I can tell you that they are going above and beyond to ensure everyone is as safe as possible! I really like that currently parents do not enter the building to drop off, I think that really helps limit the germs coming in. The classrooms do not mingle with each other either, which I believe also helps with the spread of germs. Everything is cleaned and sanitized as it should be, and I feel very safe sending my daughter here amidst the pandemic.
Leap is about it's people - training and support for teachers, providing care and education for the children, and all of the above for parents. The leadership is consistent and communication is frequent and transparent, especially during COVID times. If you're looking for high quality, Leap in.
I can't say enough great things about Leap Academy! Their focus on continuing to grow their teacher's knowledge is exceptional. Their focus on nutrition is like no other I've seen any where. Both of my kids love going there and look forward to seeing their teachers and friends every day. They have also continued to improve their facilities over the 3 years we've been attending. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone in the Waunakee area!
I would strongly recommend Leap Academy for childcare. During the time the time that my 4 year, now 5 year old has been there, she has been thriving. Not only do the teachers and staff provide a warm and fun environment for the kids but they also do an amazing job helping my child learn. You can tell that this is a well run facility. The staff seem very happy here.
