I went to Best Buy to get my computer repaired during the month of May (think virus-related limitations). I could not get in to see the GeekSquad, and they were booked through June. I've used them before and already knew it was going to cost around 100 to get a diagnostic run plus parts and labor on top of that. It turned out to be quite serendipitous that I could not get in because that led me to search for a local repair business that I could get into right away. I was able to book online at Waverly Computer Repair and drop my computer off the next day. John, the owner, messaged me with a quote quickly and had my computer back in shape quickly and cost-effectively. He charged less for the complete repair, including taxes, than Best Buy would have charged to look at it. In addition to saving money and getting in right away, he didn't try to upsell me with a pricey subscription I don't need. John is pleasant, courteous, professional, gives a realistic timeline and estimate, communicates promptly, and does AMAZING work. If you go somewhere else, you're missing out on all of this. I'm grateful I couldn't get in to the GeekSquad and I found John's business. We'll be back when we need to repair, upgrade, or replace computers in our home. We are a 6 device family, so that is often. I highly recommend this business and will tell everyone I know. A service and quality!

When the last big Windows update continually failed to install and I couldn’t get any help online, I turned to Waverly Computer Repair. Doing so reaffirmed my commitment to turn to local businesses. John arranged a time for us to get our computer to him around our schedule. He did the diagnostic work and came back with three possible ways to fix our computer, a cost for each AND made it very clear that we had incurred no cost for the diagnostic work. When we ran into a snag, he instantly communicated to us what the issue was and gave us options and costs for the fix. Once we’d selected a course of action, he gave us (and met, by the way) a date for pickup. John upgraded our hard drive and super charged the system so that it now works actually better than it did before. And I ended up missing NOTHING. I had to reload two programs with the product keys I had at home and that was it. I was literally back online and back in business about two hours after I got my computer back to the house. John was amazing to work with. His work was quick and affordable and went above and beyond what I was asking. He took an old, broken laptop and not only fixed it - but wiped it clean and put updated software it. It’s like a brand new computer. He was also patient while I figured out what I wanted and when I could pick up.
I’ve taken both a home computer and a work laptop to John at Waverly Computer Repair. Exemplary customer service and told me directly what was needed and how it would be fixed. He searched for the best options for me in both situations. I am happy I have done business with John and won’t take my computers anywhere else!
