I bought 2 vehicles from my friend of 7 years-Dennis. He was very kind to me back then -fixing my moped for free when I was in a terrible space in my life. I made good on a promise to help him the moment I was able. I returned the favor when he was in the same position in his life. I bought 2 cars from him and loaned him 4000. Unfortunately, the few things wrong with both cars that he promised to fix-Dennis never made good on. One of them was a serious problem with getting an accurate gas tank reading on the dashboard of my sons car. He claimed to have fixed it and was notified right away it was not working. My son returned at the agreed upon time and said Dennis went to his restaurant “ for a second” and would be right back. Two hours later, he had t returned. And he had acted quite rudely to my son and his friend. The issue was never resolved. This resulted in my son running out of gas many times... once on a bend in the road. That resulted in a two car collision not involving my son, but with serious damage to car and person. A month after the latest. “ thumbs up checkup” Dennis did on my car, there was a very serious problem. My mechanic said it was amazing I was alive and the issue had been not only overlooked by Dennis, it was long-standing. And as far as paying back the 4000 , I received a few payments, And then limited my interaction with him to texting solely about his repayments. Imagine my surprise when I text him about missing 2 payments, and in response I received a text telling me the state police had just been contacted ( as if I was threatening- which I wasn’t)and I was not to contact him anymore unless it was through his attorney. If he has the money to contract an attorney, why don't I have MY money.? Does this have to do with the fact that I refused to get involved in a relationship with him?
