This is a GREAT School!!!!!!! for people talking bout police and the staff are ones who should have disciplined their children AT HOME!!!!! Kids who know how to behave have no problems!!!!! IT is the ONLY \A\ school on the westside of JAx, FL. That tells you that they CARE!!!!!!!

Teachers are referral crazy for the prettiest, non emergency things which makes them look bad not the child, assistant principal was polite and genualy caring and understanding, but the principal was standoff, non empathic , non considerate and not understanding to me and my son's frustration with his teachers. I had a conference with my son's teacher, but everything that we talked about hasn't been implemented (at least not on their end). I reached out to the school board about this ongiong picking from the teachers and children that my son must indure, since he's always being referred to the office if he dares speak his mind or stand up for himself. I called the school board to make a complaint but unfortunately Duval county school board is not patrnerd with Wayman Academy, but they did take my complaint and said someone was going to call me back so she can get me a set appointment to talk to the Pastor about my son's dilemmas with his teachers and his principal. It's been 3 days since then and I've yet to talk to her and the Pastor of the school. My sons love for this school since daycare, headstart, pre- K, kindergarten and first grade has dissipated altogether, which was really hard for me to watch. Some of teachers I've came across are petty, sarcastic and do not have the time and patience or control over the class or age group that they are given and as for my view of the principal.... well let's just say if your child has a principal that does not know how to handle irate, frustrated or even angry mothers that leave and trust their children in their care in a professional, caring and understanding manner... then maybe she needs to rethink her position as principal.

If I could give zero stars I would! This is a horrible school. Academically my son made Straight A’s. However the principal Ms.Botchi decided it was a good idea to threaten my 5 year old kindergarten son with the police because she was tired of dealing with him and she was frustrated. I have an active law suit against them for traumatizing my child with the police. No kid should fear the police especially not because of being threatened by his school principal. In addition to that she states to him “I don’t have time to deal with you little boy.” Repeatedly! All while rolling her eyes and her shoulders. They are unorganized. I came to pick my child up early from school and they took an hour to locate him. I get phone calls about the bus routes and my child has been a car rider since the very 1st day of school! Horrible!

This is an A rated school. The teachers and staff are great. They will work with you and your child. My granddaughter went here for kindergarten, and for first grade she went to our neighborhood school. That was a big mistake she hated school. I changed my work schedule and she went back to WAA for second grade big change all around. Next week she'll be graduating from 5th grade. I hope her experiences in middle school will be just as rewarding. This is a GREAT school full of teachers and staff who care. My only complaint is there's no grades 6-8. We both love this school.

Staff is rude, unprofessional, uneducated, uncaring, and disgusting people. They falsify documents for funding, beg for tax funding, scholarships, grants, and program funding under deceptive circumstances using children in need to abuse them. They do not actually follow through on commitments, are not accountable, and do not ensure the safety of the children. Beware and proceed with caution. The staff steals food from the program intended for the children, lie about providing meals, and do not have an honor system one program specifically has had 4 directors in 5 months one of the directors was ob drugs and was given employment due to attending their church.
