Dr Appelboom is amazing. My father recently took a fall and sustained a contusion on his frontal lobe. He needed a craniectomy to relieve the pressure. Dr Appelboom took the time to explain the procedure to me, the risks, benefits, helped me to understand everything all over the phone since COVID restrictions didn’t allow me to be there. He called me immediately after surgery to let me know how it went. Same for his second procedure the crainoplasty. He was so kind and caring. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Appelboom, operated on my back 4/7/2021. I had a L5 - S1 disc issue going on for 3 months. The two other surgeons I consulted with considered the issue as a routine disc herniation. Dr. Appelboom, in reviewing my MRI saw something else, a fragment that was pressing on my nerve causing constant radiating pain down my left leg. He explained the issue and procedure in great detail. I had same day surgery at St. Joes in Paterson and things could not have gone better. The hospital staff and the Dr.'s team were great. I left the hospital out of pain and 10 days later feel 100%. I highly recommend Dr. Appelboom.

Dr.Appelboom is an amazing doctor. I went to see him because I was having extremely bad pain going down my legs because of a herniated disc in my back. Excellent communicator! All my questions were answered before surgery, and Dr Appelboom came by frequently during my hospital stay to check my progress. My recovery is proceeding well, with a little less pain every day. Just under five weeks after spinal surgery, and I have already returned to work (computer work, from home. I don't need to lift or carry). I first came to know his work through my mother, she had two procedures to relieve pain and maintain mobility. Recovery was quick for both, and communication was excellent both before and after surgery. I would highly recommend Dr Appelboom to anyone that needs to consult a neurosurgeon.

If there is 10 stars i would've gave Dr.Appleboom , first of all thank you Dr. For saving my life and future. I'm one of the patients of Dr. Appleboom, I'm 45 years old and 2 years ago lower back pain started with me and grew up into a painful sciatica and did a surgery with another Doctor in my lower back through my back for the L5S1 disc to release the prusser on the nerve and it didn't and pain started to grow to a limit that i was going to faint also on the left side with the right side very painful,pain went down to my feet and lost feeling in the right foot. I went to nerve doctors, pain management doctors, i took 4 time injections in my back made me worse. Untill i found Dr.appleboom and he did an ALIF surgery for my L5S1,and now it's been 3 months pain free and i move more and the pressure on my right foot started to decrease. I'm very happy with the results and on top of that i found Dr.appleboom and he took my pain away. Thank you again and ten times because i thought before i found you my life will go down untill i get paralyzed but no i gained power and life back again. Thank you Johanna (Dr.appleboom Assistant) for being very helpful and sweet.
