I used to think Frogs Leap was bullet proof - great food, great service, good atmosphere. After an exceptionally poor experience I feel the need to add the suggestion to stay away when the place is packed. Maybe their seating capacity exceeds the kitchen's capacity. I have been hesitant to return and when I do it will be on a slower evening.

Food was amazing. I had the pork chop. The service was excellent. The evening was going well until they seated a table beside us. The distance was less than 6 feet. It made us feel uncomfortable. The kicker was this. There were other tables open. The hostess could have watch out for social distancing and seated them elsewhere.

Wow! Came here on a last minute trip because of the reviews and it did not disappoint. We had the tenderloin and the scallop dish and both were beautifully constructed with complex flavor profiles. Nicely put together. We shared a bottle of wine and Tonya had great recommendations for each course. Highly recommend!

You’d be crazy to pass up eating here if you have the chance. We were on the first night of the autumn menu and everything was executed beautifully. Flatbreads were on the thicker side but great flavor combination of toppings. My Halibut (market fish) and my fiancé’s trout entree were delicious. Especially because each component was well made, from the protein, to the sauces, to the seasonings of the sides. Dessert of pecan pie with salted caramel ice cream - a great way to end the meal. I was even able to order a glass of Sauternes to accompany it! In Waynesville! But food alone isn’t what makes this restaurant great, service was warm and food came out promptly. Everything was meticulously cleaned. We were even told upon being sat that the table next to us would not be sat to ensure social distancing. Now that’s hospitality! We will be back...probably every time we visit the area, so you better make a reservation.
