No doubt about it I’d be dead right now if it was t for this place! I we my love to the retreat. I just got a year of sobriety under my belt. I will never forget this pace. Food was awesome, the staff genuinely cared.

Good food like everyone else said. Save your money folks, its peer run. Woods was peaceful and relaxing, just not enough tools here for the toolkit.

My husband went through The Retreat almost 16 years ago. He found his recovery there. He always says that The Retreat taught him how to live his life differently. He had been to other facilities, and still struggled. I am grateful he was willing and ready, and that the staff and volunteers helped him work with that openness to change his life.

Good Food. Isn't this supposed to be a recovery center? Shouldn't high success rate be the thing you want people to say when you mention The Retreat (not food quality). It goes to show that The Retreat's target customer is getting the alcoholics to come back after they relapse (most have been there more than once). Why is the price so fair? It's because AA volunteers and the guests are left to their own devices (no trained staff to be found except in their offices). These AA volunteers are the same people you can talk to for free in meetings and have sponsor you for free. Of course, everyone who goes to the The Retreat comes out feeling better, but that is because most go in there having hit rock bottom (no where else to go). My advice is save your money, get a sponsor and go to meetings all day. Living in a bubble for a month just makes joining society, sober, harder. I followed my advice; got a Vivitrol shot as added insurance at the beginning; left The Retreat two weeks early and have never drank again. FYI At least two of the below 5 star reviews are staff at The Retreat (that should say everything).

Absolutely the best experience I’ve ever had in a treatment facility, and I’ve been to a few! High five to the staff and the programming.
