My car was being repaired from an accident and I was sent to Hertz for the rental car. For the most part it was a very easy transaction. They of course sell their own \insurance\. I was told that I would only be billed for the day's I accepted the insurance (a total of 5days). I agreed to those 5 days and then removed.( This is not I am disputing) The rental I was given had a bad tire so I was told to bring it in and they would provide me with another rental. While going through the process of getting the replacement rental I noticed that they were billing me close to 400 for insurance. I advised that this was cancelled and should not be billed. They said I would have to contact customer service which I did to No resolution. The people on the phone told me I needed to speak with the Hertz office. I was told the district manager would call me back. I took pictures of the receipt and told them that I do NOT agree to this charge. However, NO ONE EVER CALLED ME. When I returned the rental I STILL disputed the charge and was waiting for someone to call me back, and NOTHING. They informed me the district manager would contact me and that they wouldn't bill me. However, 3 weeks after I had returned the rental, low and behold I was billed. I contacted my bank and disputed the charge. This has been 2 months and they have billed ME AGAIN! I want my money back. I can't believe that a company has such incompetent workers. I am upset at the brush off that I have received from the \district manager\. I was never given her number but only the 800 number to which they couldn't resolve my issue. The insurance that these rental companies provide is such a rip-off. I would highly recommend to NEVER use Hertz car rental.

Crappy experience
At the beginning of the rental in the Hertz parking lot, the low fuel light was on and it said I had 50 miles to empty when I started the vehicle. The front desk person said he could fill the vehicle full right quick or I could bring the car back with the same fuel level. I opted not to get a full tank of gas or prepay for any gas. I just agreed to bring the car back with the same fuel level. Three days later I brought the car back for return without the fuel light on and it was 56 miles to empty. The same front desk person said I needed to bring the car back with 2/8 gas and wanted to charge me an additional 10. I spoke with another Hertz representative at the store who said he didn't witness the conversation and couldn't do anything. I don't understand why I was charged additional money when I brought the vehicle back with MORE gas than it originally had. Don't trust what fuel level they record on the rental agreement. Take a photo of the fuel level on the dash BEFORE you leave the lot because this Hertz location can't be trusted. I've rented over 50 vehicles and never had this problem. I'm not looking for a comment from Hertz, I'm here to warn other future customers about how this Hertz location operates.
They had no vehicles for their customers and not willing to have any delivered one customer had a reservation and other customer had problems with power going out in their car and were told to drive to Dallas sorry about their luck if car broke down. I know I will never use Hertz I will stick with enterprise
This place charged us almost 200 in insurance after we sent them our auto insurance and over drafted us during the covid virus. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.
