The two appointments I have had with Dr. Choudry, he has been kind and professional. His appointment scheduler, however, is rude. Every time I have called the office she puts me on hold for extensive time. She doesn’t return my calls, and then gets an attitude when I have done a same day cancellation. I understand having to charge a patient for a visit, but I have a busy life and while I respect and value my doctors time, things sometimes come up and a cancellation is unavoidable. I have an upcoming appointment with Dr. Choudry but after this next appointment I will be looking for a new endocrinologist. I just do not have to tolerate rude office staff.
He seems to be a good doctor but is not very responsive to my questions, Also, he seems to know instantly what your health problems in the future will be. I had blood work done, and he told me a month later to do it again with little explanation. They all seem too busy to answer questions. Except for the nurse (I wish I could remember her name!), she is very helpful and kind.
Wow I can't believe all of the negative reviews! Dr Choudhry is amazing! I had my thyroid burned out 18 years ago and still have major issues. I have had other doctors tell me to increase my levothyroxine when I knew it needed to be lowered . He listened to me and worked with me and fine tuned my doses to taking levothyroxine 5 days a week and Liothyronine 6 days a week. It has worked and I think he is wonderful. I always feel like he totally listens to me and cares very much and understands how miserable it is to live with thyroid levels that are crazy
I went to see him for thyroid cysts on my thyroid. He told me it was completely normal to have 6 cysts on my thyroid and that all my symptoms had nothing to do with my thyroid. Told me to have a follow up test in 6 months. Charged me 493.00 for that. I ended up going to another doctor who says that it’s not normal to have 6 cysts on your thyroid also said that my symptoms and blood sugars are related to my thyroid. What a waste of time and money with him.
This doctor does not listen to his patients, and disregards their symptoms. He instantly knows what is wrong and cannot ever change his mind.
Don't go here. It takes up to a month to get your medical records if you swap doctors due to moving. I did not much care for this doctor at visits either. He made comments about my future health I feel were inappropriate and did not concern his opinion as an endocrinologist. Their system is confusing and they are constantly swapping companies and giving me the run around on how to pay my bill.
I was 20 minutes late for my appointment. Being 8 months pregnant, and a mother of small kids, I was late but was not seen or fit into the schedule. On another occasion, I called office during business hours (15 minutes before closing) and my calls were not answered. The staff is why I have decided to find another physician.
