I had already had the rental for a week and Vito did everything possible to get me the lowest price for keeping the car for another week. Great customer service. Definitely recommend

I rented a vehicle in Houston and due to a foot injury, I could not return it to the pick-up location. I physically would not have been able to drive. I could hardly walk. I called Avis customer service and explained my situation. They said there would be no penalty for the drop off at a different location. Well, as it turned out, that was a lie. I got charged over 200 for not keeping the car for a week. No one told me that there would be a penalty for turning the car in early. When I called customer service to complain about the extra charges I was basically told “nothing I can do about it”. Avis has always been my first choice in rentals. I will never rent from Avis again and I plan to share my experience as often as I can.

This Avis is bad at answering the phone but once someone answers (after hours of calling) they do a good job at helping you with whatever it is you need help with. Every time I go to this location the lobby is empty so I have no clue as to why they don’t answer the phone

the car was clearly not cleaned. We found food left overs, wrappers and sticky substances in the cup holders. In normal times this would already be unacceptable but now with COVID19 even more. We disinfected the car ourselves. I brought this up to the store clerk but she said there is nothing she could do because i prepaid for the whole rental period. Agency also tried to sell me insurance without asking if my own insurance covers the car. Transparency and informing customers about insurance options would be more helpful instead of trying to make a buck on the upcharge of the insurance premiums.

I was in Houston helping a close friend move from West Virginia. Having a lot of family in Texas and a very long time close friend I call a sister lived in Tyler. Decided to rent a car and go visit a few days. These guys were so helpful in my situation and getting the car returned on time in Houston that they allowed me the next day to return it no charge! How wonderful is that... I highly recommend them if a rental is needed.
