I am an owner of 6 condos in the area which are managed by 3 different management companies so have seen how condo management companies work. 2 of the 3 management companies are fantastic!!!!! But when it comes to Weigel Management they are the worst company I have dealt with. To start they do not return emails or phone calls. I have contacted them a number of times and am told the manager is very busy and not available. I email with no response (or a reply that does not answer the questions I have asked) They do not do site inspections - the snow at one of the properties is so bad my tenants parking spot is buried. The AGM at one of the condos was late with excuses about COVID (yet the other 2 management companies had virtual meetings held on time) there was no auditor and only person talking was the manager. Many owners were not told how to even sign in for the meeting. We do not receive any communication and the cleaning at one of the buildings is appalling. I am so frustrated as we as owners pay for the managers contract and are not getting the service we deserve. I have looked into what can be done and will be contacting CAO and CMRAO on this company. I am very happy that one of the condos they manage will be changing managers in April and hope that the other will look in to cancelling the contract with them soon. my advice to condo owners - do not hire this company my advice the Weigel Management - do the work you are paid to do. I feel I need to add to this review. When Pam was our manager things were great. All seems to have changed since she has been off.
I am a tenant at a property managed by Weigel Property Management and am extremely frustrated. I moved in to my unit and contacted them to have our phone number put in the intercom for us. we were told that it is the owner who needs to contact them for this and they will only deal with the owner of the unit. Frustrating but ok, Our landlord contacted them a number of times to have this change made and was given the run around and was told that it can only be done when the manager is at the building. we did not have access for this for the whole over a month which was extremely frustrating as it meant that we had no way for anyone to contact us using the intercom. The rude behavior from the management company to us and our landlord was unbelievable. Are they not paid to manage the building and not just do it when it is convenient for them. I have spoken to other residents who have said the same thing that when something is reported it takes long for them to get an answer and sometimes they do not even acknowledge the issue or say it will get done when it gets done. very poor service.
There appears to be a pattern with the reviews posted regarding this management company and I can agree with all of them. Another item I see is the person responding not actually responding to the complaint or make assumptions on what the person writing the review has said. it they would just take the time to respond to emails or phone calls these reviews would not be posted! I have contacted them with questions about the budget and when the AGM will be taking place and have not heard a word back. I am hoping the owners will agree to have them removed as our management company!!!
It is pretty evident that I am not the only one having issues with this company. They came to us with numerous promises and talked the talk but the service has declined extensively. We have been through 3 property managers and each one was horrible one was just dowright rude and aggressive to speak with. The owner of the company who promised all this great service was our manager then two horrible managers who knew and did nothing were suppose to be managing the condo. Do not even know who is managing it now. Oeners were sent the wrong budget and had wrong condo fees taken out of our bank accounts. Getting alot of sorries and that they will fix it. But feeling things will never change. When I call the office it is someone who knows nothing and says they will have our manager call but still have not heard from them. I understand COVID-19 has caused alot of issues but we received all this information about the great software to allow staff to work from home. And it is the staff not software who does the budget so do not get how it was wrong. I know this is a rant and I hope the owner reads this and stops promising and making excuses and just takes care of our condo like the management company is paid to do.
