Interesting Museum which reflects the architecture 100 years ago in Germany

Must visit if you are in Weimar. Try to book the museum entry in advance, esp now a days. The free exhibition is also superb and gives an excellent overview. Try the Cafe in basement ( highly recommend the orange cake)
Have been studying about Bauhaus since college and finally get a chance to see the museum and the city! Overall a nice museum, download the app though.
Interesting museum but quite small. I would have also expected more Bauhaus furniture classics on display
A striking building that resonates the same functional simplicity of the movement’s principles. Unfortunately, the curation is a let down as there simply isn’t a clear narrative that binds each piece together into a clearer overview or, indeed, enough information. Add the fact that with some of the more important pieces there’s not the sufficient space they deserve, as everything is crammed in. The result is you feel like you’re in a home furnishings shop. A lot of potential, some good highlights, still definitely worth a visit (especially for art and design lovers) but for a globally groundbreaking movement/institution of ‘form follows function’, this is style over substance.
Nice collection. Just WHY would any curator put so many paintings on one single wall and way above where they can be appreciated even if one cranes one's neck?
Interesting exhibition but not specifically about Bauhaus in WEIMAR. The building shouldn't be criticized that much. For an outstanding exhibition go to the Museum New Weimar
Excellent place to visit for Tourists, specially for foreigners. You get to know and visualize some part of Beautiful German, specifically Weimar history.
