This school district is very unprofessional. It’s veey unfortunate that in a black community the administration and those who hold very pivatol roles will not make themselves available to assist with the people of the community. Whenever you need assistance you are constantly put on hold, when contacting a person in particular like Ms Turner who is the ONLY person to review, accept and negate pre school application she is never available. I have called, left messages, visited the office and every time my efforts have been unsuccessful. However when I need assistance and directions for any thing in Roanoke Rapids School district which is mostly all white personnel, the assistance is urgent, smooth and very helpful. This community as a whole needs to better and it’s sad that race is a factor in such a detrimental topic of educators. Signed an unhappy parent and tax payer!
