We can highly recommend this shop for choice and availability of items. The lady who served us was very knowledgeable and most helpful. Yes they do close during the lunch hour but that is mentioned on their web site but they do also advise that if you are only able to visit during lunchtime to phone ahead and they will ensure a member of staff will be available to serve you, excellent service. Ballet shoes, tutus and many more items are made on the premises which is wonderful to buy good British made items .

This shop does not give refunds, only exchanges if they decide they want to which is fine, that's their policy but makes me less likely to purchase. Now however, I will never purchase from Gandolfi in store or anywhere else. We sat outside for ages waiting for their lunch break to be over at 1.30pm so we could go in to browse with a view to purchasing dancewear for Christmas gifts - when the clock reached 1.32pm, we were buzzed into the store as usual and were greeted by a man who said the store is open...but only if we're picking something up or definitely going to purchase - if we weren't definitely going to purchase that visit, the shop was closed to us and we could not go in. We will take our business to a shop that treats customers with respect - not impressed with being told the shop is closed to us if we're not planning to buy expensive dancewear. The shop is small and we knew what we wanted to look at so wasn't as if we'd have been long - if you don't want customers, don't open your shop!
