Me and my friends rented the car back in November. There was a deal going on for eurocar 150 flybuys point. I booked it because will get 150 points but this never happened. Even after constant emailing back and forward still haven’t received till date. Worst customer service ever. Car was good and comfortable as expected but worst customer service ever.

We received a car without any notification about existing damages. To our astonishment we found multiple scuffs, severe damage at the lower part of the front bumper (broken and deep grooves) and damage on one door. Also the car was very dirty inside. Highlight was a chewing gum sticking at the drivers door. After our complaint a Employee pretend cleaning it, but all he did was smearing the dirt around with a cloth. There was almost no difference to before. At least the employee was friendly, but was downplaying the damages and didn't apologize for the very dirty car. Also they did not offer a clean and undamaged car as a replacement. We ended up cleaning the car our self. Overall it was a big hassle for us and not a nice start for our vacation. BE WARNED TO CAREFULLY CHECK YOUR CAR IF YOU ARE RENTING FROM THESE GUYS.

A great place to start your ferry trip. Staff were fast and efficient. Will definitely go back there

We had a third party damage our car with videos of what happened but the local staff was totally unhelpful in advising what to do with this to ensure we could get the third party insurance to pay for the damages. All they could tell us was that the damages would be invoiced to us and couldn't get out of this speech to provide guidance on how to follow up. Totally unhelpful and poor service !

Has no representation at the Bluebridge ferry terminal - transfer has to be done by taxi on cost. There rental car companies who do allow to take the car between the islands. This costs a bit but is less of an hassle. For theis route I can not recommend Europcar. Inflexible service.

Deserve a negative minus minus!!! We received a car without being advised of prior damage. When we sign these contracts, this is of the assurance Europcar have carried out and met all of the relevant service requirements! When they dropped the car to us one of the tyres was low, we needed to pump up the next morning. Who does that the next day of picking up a rental car! Take to the pump station!!! Anyway we were stopping at gas stations to check we realise its a damn slow leak so here I am on the phone to get some answers ... OK so receive a email from claims saying we damaged the car sent me blurry photos showing the spare and the tyre in the boot. We sent additional information and clear photos clearly stating facts photos to support and now received another response. They are still saying customer damage and I need to provide additional information. This is so wrong, they are trying to falsely accuse me of damage. I can't let them, the photos and dates, you would think would support this. Trying to rip me off!! Europcar going to be part of the Scammers group if they don't sort it out... Put me off using you guys ever and we are kiwis! Not the best reviews. Avis, our go to

So Christchurch Europcar stuffed up our transfer from South Island to North. When we arrived in Wellington, no Europcar personnel were around. We (not just my family, but all Europcar customers) waited almost an hour before someone rocked up. After not having a car for us (even though this was pre-booked months in advance), Chirag (the manager at this Euopcar) told us to re-sign some paperwork as they were organizing a car from Auckland for us and that we would not be recharged as we had already paid. At the time we were happy, but once our holiday finished, we found that Europcar has charged us an extra 1300 as we signed a "new contract" for another car, even though we were told we would not be charged. This mob is dodgy. Avoid them at all costs.
