I have lived in Colorado for 30 years and never been here. It is absolutely beautiful. We saw an elk \stampede\ before we got to the parking lot-so that was cool. Also, saw sand Hill cranes in a field on the drive in. Must see place for anyone interested in rock formations. We did Bent Rock trail (I believe that was the name) and would be easy for kids to do (3.2 miles..minimal incline)

Awesome terrain. The contrast between red mountain and soapstone prairie (which is adjacent) is crazy. The earth is so red at red mountain (captain obvious) and soapstone is almost white. These two places are some of my favorite for beginner to intermediate level mountain biking.

Beautiful open space film of rolling hills and small canyons. There's not much trees or other shelters in addition to what's at the trailhead, so pack accordingly. Also, no dogs allowed.

Beautiful it just closes at from sunset to sunrise so u can't go out and look at the stars so that sucks

It a great place for hiking and horseback riding. So much fun!!!!! Only reason it's not 5 starts is that there is no potable water for the average person. Pack it in or bring a Lifestraw.
