Maestra Joyce Crawford has been working with me, since August 2020. I am an adult student with nine years of prior piano instruction, as a child. After a fifty year break, a decision was made to resume my music studies with the finest teacher possible. After much research, I chose Ms. Crawford. She exhibits a conservatory approach to teaching, combined with great patience and kindness. As a result, her style of pedagogy, blended with my own personal dedication to practice, has manifested a notable improvement in my piano technique, sight reading and phrasing. I look forward to my musical journey and encourage students of any age to greatly consider their studies with the Maestra.

Joyce Crawford's Music Academy is absolutely top notch. I interviewed several private instructors and schools before making the decision to go with her. Personally, I take piano and voice and am amazed at how much we've covered since I started with her three months ago. My main focus going in was that I wanted to have a well-rounded foundation in music theory as well as maintaining a high standard in an engaging way. Music is Joyce's passion and craft that she has dedicated her whole life to. I've never come across anyone who can match her technical expertise as well as the attention and care that she provides to her students. Joyce Crawford is a phenomenal teacher who has helped me ''unlock my voice''. I'd been singing with lots of effort for years, and after a few lessons with her I began to sing almost effortlessly! She will teach you ways to place your voice that makes singing feel so easy, she gives you the knowledge to think, self-correct, and understand why something is or isn't working. Joyce Crawford is very experienced, dedicated and truly one of the best teachers in any discipline I've come across with. Highly recommend her!
