Open on Xmas day for half a day, always a bonus. Found some of their prices similar to larger grocery stores like New World, Countdown etc sometimes they're cheaper, especially the meat. The couple who run it are old school locals, been running that shop for years .

Too bad and too poor service. The Sales Pearson refused to validate my winning Instant Ticket (just 8) throwing it into the rubbish bin and pretending it wasn't a winning one. I was treated like a thief and I was told not to come to "her" shop anymore. The other Lady (the more mature Lady) was very nice. She was the one who, actually, checked the ticket at first and she was the only one who apologized to me for not taking the value of 8 from my total purchase. But, she was told off straight away by the same Sales Person. I'm sorry to say, but it happened to my late Father 83 y.o. almost every time when he was shopping at the Bottom 4 Square: the same Sales Pearson tried to overcharge him by 1-3 dollars. Shame on you, the Bottom 4 Square! No worries, I will continue shopping at the Top 4 Square - the best 4 Square in NZ! The Top 4 Square Sales People are always nice and friendly. You should learn how to do business from them.

Quite an awesome general store - got fair range and fair selection. Generally well stocked, and always well patronised (locals and visitors). Pleasant, friendly and helpful team members.
