Just happened across this place on a Sunday joy ride. It is a cool little piece of history and engineering.

It's a pretty cool place and if you're a local you've seen the furnace remnants hundreds of times in various places, it gives a great historical aspect of how everything worked and it's really neat to see how it was set up 170 years ago, not to mention the entire area is really pretty

I have seen old blast furnace stacks before; but this one has been restored and has the whole structure, which is amazing. It is a really cool 19th century industrial site! :-)
