I am writing this late. I have just been talking about my husband's Grandma and was talking about care homes and how there are a lot who give amazing care. This one does. Grandma was a resident for a number of years. She had a lovely room. With the help from staff, it was made her own, we bought in things to make it lovely and they accommodated everything. Grandma was bedridden. Her body gave up but her intelligent mind didn't. Ever. During her stay here, she was treated with respect and dignity. She knew all her carers and had such an amazing relationship with all staff. They were the most loving and attentive people. She cared greatly for them and them her. When she passed away, they came to pay their respects. This says something about the awesome woman she was, but also about the amazing people who worked there. I just want to say thank you. It was a few years ago now, but you were so amazing and made a hard time easier for her and all her family,

My mum had a short stay here after being diagnosed with secondary bone cancer. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. I was allowed to stay with mum for the duration of her stay and felt very at home! The grounds are beautiful and somewhere to relax with your thoughts. I can't thank everyone enough.

Our Mum was moved to Wenham Holt after a short emergency admission to hospital during which she was diagnosed with a rapidly progressing terminal illness.Mum was too ill to go home even with full-time care but her ensuite room at WH had a homely feel with a balcony overlooking their fantastic gardens; it was the next best option to being at home and we knew that Mum was comfortable, safe and in expert hands. The staff were warm, kind, compassionate and smiley which Mum responded well to. There were daily activities for residents and we took Mum into the gardens whenever possible which really helped improve her quality of life in her last few weeks. The food was excellent and the chef very willing to provide meals to suit the individual even if not on the planned menu.Mum was always clean and nicely presented right down to having her fingernails beautifully painted. The staff respected her privacy and dignity right to the end and were also very supportive of the family during a difficult few weeks. Thanks to the wonderful staff and management-they are angels.
