I highly recommend West Coast Family Day Care Service to anyone wanting to to become a Family Day Care Educator. Kathryn and Brodie go above and beyond for their educators. They are not only hard working business women but also very family oriented. They are always there any time you need to speak to them for any assistance we may need. Jenni is an amazing coordinator that is open and understanding to offer her knowledge and support to educators when dealing with our day to day schedules and daily programming. I’ve been apart of West Coast Family Day Care Service and I couldn’t be more happier with what the service has to offer to family day care educators
I was operating my family daycare just under a year with another service, before I made the decision to move over to West Coast Family Daycare Services. The only regret I have was that I didn't do it sooner. The ladies here are always so helpful and on the other end of the phone when you need them. They are always friendly to talk to and make you feel relaxed when asking those "silly questions" that we all have. They are passionate about their jobs and value their educator's very much. During the covid-19 saga they really put up a great fight for us educator's on how unfairly we were treated by the government. They 100% have our backs. They understand how hard it can be to be a working mum and run your own family daycare. I do not feel like one of their numbers, I feel like we are one big team. I would highly recommend this service if you are thinking about changing schemes. You won't regret it.
What can I say? How to describe these women... like Angels overhead. I joined West Coast Family Daycare scheme as an educator in January 2020, little did I know that we were about to experience a pandemic that would shake my little business to the core. To say the least I was scared and information about what the pandemic and "free childcare" meant 'on the ground' for me was scarce and confusing. There was nothing West Coast FDC did not do for me, from a massive basket of goodies to steady the nerves and resolve going into the unknown- to starting a nation-wide petition, reaching out to the media, politicians and Family Daycare Australia- our representative body, on our behalf to try and expose the fact that under the Government's new policy most of us were now effectively working for free. They worked themselves, for free and became my point of encouragement and refuge emotionally and professionally during the uncertain storm of the pandemic...and truly one of the most bizarrely stressful positions I've ever experienced financially. They operate with love and compassion and this is an essential ingredient that seems to be missing in the business arena today, especially one that involves the care of Australia's most precious ...our children. They are not just my scheme providers, they are not just my friends..they have become my family, and I feel confident to face any battle with these women over head.
