I moved in a few months ago and I'm so glad that I didn't go anywhere else. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. The area/landscaping is very well maintained. Also, the apartments are very nicely maintained and updated. The layout is just great. I love the spacious living room, the big windows (a lot of light comes in and make the place open, so you can breath) and the huge balconies/yards. The most important feature is that I feel really safe in the area. Neighbors are friendly. It has a very high 'home' feeling.
I truly enjoy living here. This community is very nice and the apartments are great size very spacious. The leasing team has such great customer service. The maintenance team has excellent time management skills. They handle all work orders with urgency. I just love ️ living here.
This has been the worst experience I had applying for an apartment. Here's why: 1. The website indicated 2-5 days response on the application, but it has been almost two weeks since I submitted my application and no response yet. All I got was daily promotional junk mail from them. 2. No one ever picked up the phone. I tried calling throughout the day on multiple days. No luck. 3. I left multiple voice messages. No follow up. 4. I drove down from LA to the leasing office. It was closed even though the business hours shown on the website indicated that it should be opened. 5. There was a contact email taped on to the leasing office door. That email bounced back immediately. So there you go. You submitted your application and your 150 NON REFUNDABLE deposit and they disappeared on you. During the time of crisis like this, California Villages proves to be a shining example of corporate greed. Do not waste your time and money on this place. Look somewhere else.
California Villages in West Covina like many communities has its pros and cons. It's a friendly, gated community that is convenient to the freeways and lots of fun activities. Staff is responsive and helpful and maintenance is always ready to fix anything you need help with. The only issues we have ever had is that the staff is a revolving door. We have to learn who is in the office every 6 months. Because of this, the quality of residents has gone down. When we moved in there was a long time manager who was more strict with who could live here. It seems more people are being asked not to renew because of complaints now. So be warned if you are loud, like to party, or just don't believe rules apply to you. The rules do apply and California Villages West Covina is enforcing them. Most of the time anyway.
