IHIN will support improvement in the Healthcare Delivery System in Iowa by striving to meet Triple Aim Goals - improve the patient experience, improve the population's health and reduce health care cost per capita. This goes along with our operating principles to align with National Standards and continue with our strong commitment to HIPAA and protecting patient privacy, and security. Our vision is to make the IHIN the preferred way for all providers to meet federal and state reporting requirements, including quality measures and assist providers in meeting meaningful use requirements. IHIN’s long-term vision is to establish a state-of-the-art Health Information Exchange by 2020, providing all HIE services to healthcare providers across Iowa; and to be positioned to add new and/or expanded services that increase value to the participants, improve patient outcomes and lower costs.
