I recently stayed at this motel on my last trip to Glacier. I slept in the main building which has air conditioning. There are other units further up on the hill that are more quiet (the motel is in front of a busy railroad) but do not have air conditioning. I wasn't in the room much but it was cleaned every day and always spotless. There was a small fridge in the room and the bed was very comfy after a long hike. I also had dinner at the restaurant and the food was all good. They have a very good huckleberry pie. I would definitely stay at this motel again the next time I'm in the area.

Probably the best out of the park lodging to use as a homebase if you're staying in west glacier. Great prices, spacious, clean rooms, with easy access. NOTE: Our room did not have a fridge -- we always carry a cooler bag anyway so it was not a big deal, but it may be for some. Their restaurant has great food and a good selection of local craft beers -- we loved the several slices of different pies we had. They also have a small giftshop / convenience store that has the essentials. Parking for the restaurant isn't plentiful, luckily if you're staying in the hotel you can use the stairs and walkways to get there. There is a train station right across the street, so there is some train noise, but not enough to bother us.

We stayed here mid August. The location was great for quick access into the park. Not the most personable people at check in but its a pretty basic place. The room was clean and all you need for spending time in the park. We would probably stay here again but if you do stay here don't set your expectations too high. The restaurant is also nice and convenient but wish it opened a little earlier in the mornings. Prices are also somewhat high on some of their food like 4.50 for a side of bacon!

This review is for the restaurant only. The food was amazing, the environment friendly and everyone is required to wear a mask unless eating so it felt clean and safe. The best part was the service. We ate here twice during our trip to Glacier and both times the waitresses were attentive, friendly and helpful. One morning I watched a waitress count customers as they walked in and she already had their waters ready before they sat down. Will return on our next visit!!

We had a walk-in stay, no reservation. We were greeted with a smile, and room availability was offered. Our room was very tidy and clean. It had a pleasant rustic wood appeal to it. The sheets and the towels were both free of tears and stains. The room even had a ceiling fan to offer a bit of air flow that my wife and I enjoy anywhere for sleeping better. The lodge is JUST outside the west entrance to the park, and it is nextdoor to its restaurant, that stays open until 10pm - later than most other restaurants Of our other lodging in the immediate area, Lake McDonald Lodge, Apgar Village Lodge, Many Glacier Lodge, we both felt that this location offered the best bang for the dollar in regard to accommodations, location (west entrance, Apgar, Kalispell, etc. Would we return? Yes, indeed!

Great service and good food! It was nice to sit down in a cute little restaurant and feel welcome, in a time when so many chain restaurants are limiting personal service. Be sure to save room for some homemade pie and ice cream!

The location is perfect, just a 2-minute drive from the park entrance. Close by are some nice shops and restaurants in West Glacier and Apgar. The room was comfortable and spacious. However.....look I know it isn't usually 95 degrees in West Glacier, but when it is, sleeping in a room with no air conditioning makes for some horrible nights. When the majority of your business comes during the summer season, you are likely to have some days when it is unbearably hot at night. Please invest in some air conditioning! Travelers, do not stay in this hotel if the projected temps are above 80 degrees, you will not be able to sleep, even with windows open and fans on. If the projected high temps are in the 70's, this would be a great place.

Loved it here!!!!! My boyfriend and I went on our first day at Glacier National Park and it was wonderful. He ordered the chicken pot pie and I ordered the skewers. We enjoyed it so much, we went back the very next day. I ordered the same thing again and he debated on getting the chicken pot pie again, but got the huckleberry bbq burger. We sat outside both days and it was so nice out. We had a great view of the mountains too. The service was great and the food was excellent. I think the price of the food is well worth it for the experience, ambiance, and service. We were so happy that we had Dan serving us both nights!!!! He was great. Very helpful with any questions we had and very welcoming. He deserves a raise. If we were staying another night, I would’ve made us go again I enjoyed it so much. It’s attached to a cute little gift shop and we both bought stuff from there too. Also, the pie was delicious! We got a huckleberry pie the first night and a lemon pie the next day, it was great! I hope to come back again and eat here! I hope Dan’s working there still, would love to tip him again. Very memorable experience. Thank you!
